  1. A food delivery driver was shot and killed early Friday morning in southwest Atlanta. According to Atlanta police, the as-yet unidentified 41-year-old delivery driver was picking up an order just after 1 a.m. Friday at Oak Street Eats on Oak Street near the intersection with Lee Street and the I-20 entrance ramp. The driver got into an argument with another man, police say, shots were fired and, while paramedics rushed the delivery driver to Grady Memorial Hospital, he did not survive. The shooting occurred near a BP gas station that police say may have surveillance video that can assist with the investigation. Anyone with information concerning the shooting is asked to call the APD. (FOX 5 Atlanta)

After noticing an increase in crimes against people using popular social media marketplace platforms to buy or sell items, the Atlanta Police Department is warning shoppers of online scams ahead of the holidays. While the bulk of transactions via social media are legitimate and problem-free, the APD cited several examples of criminals turning naΓ―ve buyers into easy victims: In separate instances, owners of a dirt bike and an ATV met with potential buyers, who fled on the vehicles; and a fraudulent cashier’s check was provided for a luxury SUV,…
