The accused, then posted in Jhansi with Military Engineering Services — erstwhile Commander Working Engineer Colonel Arvind Parashar, two erstwhile Deputy Commander Working Engineer Lieutenant Colonel RR Negi and Lieutenant Colonel AK Singh and then Lieutenant Colonel D S Rawat, then a garrison engineer posted at Military Engineering Services in Gwalior have been named as accused in the case.

The CBI will be probing the role of the accused in the irregularities in the recruitment of around 54 candidates in Military Engineering Services Jhansi in 2012.

The agency also conducted searches at the premises of the accused in Maharashtra’s Pune, Gujarat’s Porbandar and New Delhi.

“We have recovered incriminating documents, pertaining to investments made in movable and immovable assets, from the premises of the accused during the searches,” said CBI officials.
