Mumbai: A portion of under construction BKC flyover collapsed on Friday morning. This flyover is supposed to connect the CST-Kurla road area of Mumbai to BKC.
The collapse happened at 4.41 am on Friday and 14 labourers got injured. There were 28 people present on the spot at the time of the incident, 24 labourers, 02 engineers, and 02 supervisors.
The construction contract of the flyover is with a firm called J Kumar infraprojects. Now, this is the same firm that was once blacklisted by BMC.
BMC in 2016, blacklisted J Kumar infraprojects in BMC road scam matter, a scam which surfaced in 2015. BMC road scam was corruption in the construction and repair of 234 roads in the city. It was a Rs 1,700 cr project and BMC inquiry revealed that at least 50% of this work was shoddy and…
