By Najiyya Budaly (September 24, 2021, 10:24 AM BST) — The Financial Ombudsman Service said on Friday that it has seen a “dramatic rise” in complaints from consumers about fraud and scams, with 66% more cases in three months compared with the same period last year.

The dispute resolution service said it handled just over 5,000 complaints about fraud and scams between April and June, a jump from the 3,000 cases it received in the same three months in 2020.
